Welcome to the 4th grade! I am Mr. Toomey, this is my second year at St. Matthew School and my first as the 4th grade teacher. Last year, I served as the Student Services Coordinator and Substitute Teacher as a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. I am originally from Oakland, California and earned a Bachelors Degree in English at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington.

 

I am looking forward to a fun and exciting year in the 4th grade as the students gain the knowledge, skills, and confidence to prepare for middle school. We will be studying many interesting topics, such as the rich history of Arizona and the Native American cultures that helped shape what our state is today.
